West Center publishes its fall brochure
Youth classes in boxing and rock climbing, plus adult classes in dance and 55-plus women's basketball, are among the offerings in the Fall 2008 brochure for the
West Center for Intergenerational Learning.
The 12-page publication, which is mailed to about 1,600 addresses, lists classes, programs, adult/senior excursions and upcoming events or activities that are available through the facility at 25 N. 20th St.
Because of delays getting the materials to the printer, some of the events or class deadline dates listed in the brochure have already passed or are coming up very quickly. West Center Director E.D. Rucker said the center will work with people on sign-up issues, as needed.
Also in the brochure is information about the Teen Recreation Center (a drop-in after-school program), health and wellness classes, book discussions, safe-driving programs and ongoing activities for adults and seniors.
Excursions have been set up on specific dates to such places as the Hot Sulphur Springs Resort in Winter Park and the State Capitol in Denver.
Brochures can also be obtained from the center, which is open Monday through Friday at 25 N. 20th St. For more information, call 385-7920.
