The first quarterly Westside Pioneer has been printed, with distribution of 13,000 copies going out to more than 50 outlets on the Colorado Springs Westside, including the King Soopers and Safeway grocery stores.
The 16-page paper is the second print newspaper this year for the family-owned and operated publication, which is now primarily online after being a weekly for 10 years. The focus continues to be the Colorado Springs Westside.
Both print and online are free to readers. However, Pioneer publishers Kenyon and Therese Jordan request that readers patronize the advertisers who make both news service formats possible.
In addition to August, the projected months for quarterly publishing of the Pioneer are November, February and May.
