Master gardeners to appear at nursery

Colorado master gardener volunteers will be available to answer gardening and lawn care questions from the public at Rick's Nursery, 600 North 18th St., on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Colorado master gardeners are trained volunteers from the Colorado State University (CSU) Cooperative Extension. There is no charge.
“Gardening in El Paso County is challenging due to erratic weather, limited availability of water, high elevation, and poor soils,” states a press release from El Paso County public information. “Information presented by master gardeners about appropriate plant selection and gardening techniques can help lead to a healthy lawn and productive garden.”
