Police blotter: PPNB robbery suspect described
On Monday, July 26, at 4:40 P.M., Officers were dispatched to the Pikes Peak National Bank, 2401 W. Colorado Ave., in
response to a bank robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect approached a teller, demanded money, stated he had a gun
(saying he would use it if necessary), but one was not seen. The suspect left on foot southbound on 24th Street with an
undisclosed amount of cash.
Containment was set and a K-9 officer responded but the track wasn't successful. The suspect is described as a white male, 20- 30 years, 5'8” to 5'10”, 140-160 pounds, sandy blond hair, clean shaven, wearing a dark color shirt, silver color zip-up windbreaker and blue jeans. The suspect did state that he had a gun and would use it if necessary. The teller complied with the suspect's demands and provided him with an undisclosed amount money.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking anyone with information concerning this robbery to contact the Robbery Unit at 667-2786.
