Pleasant Valley planning picnic, annual meeting

A mailing will go out around Aug. 10 from the Pleasant Valley Association (PVA) to the 841 homes in its area.
The mailing will include information about the association's picnic Aug. 29, its annual meeting in September and plans by member Dick Wulf to develop a PVA web site, according to PVA President Jim Corcoran.
This year's annual meeting will be used in part to elect a new president and other officers. Corcoran said he plans to step down after two years as president. A nominating committee is looking for candidates to replace him.
He said he thinks the website could be useful for the association by giving people a chance to communicate about different issues of interest to the neighborhood.
The association currently has about 200 members. Memberships are $20 a year.
For more information, call Corcoran at 632-4991.
