Lightning strike appreciated firemen
The evening of Tuesday, July 26 brought the usual thunderstorms and rain to the Westside. However, on this particular evening, lightning strikes were near rather than far. So near in fact, that one struck the chimney of my home causing a small enclosed fire and a serious ash and smoke problem to the inside of the home.
I called 911, and within less than seven minutes I could hear the fire trucks as they approached. I would like to commend the responding fire companies. The firemen were professional, thorough and courteous. They were deliberate in their intention to make sure my home was safe to be occupied.
I would like to thank the firemen for a job well done!
