Meet a Westsider:
retired. I am an independent distributor for Xango.
What I like most about the Westside is... it still has a small town flavor as reflected in the architecture and friendliness of residents.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to stop the growth all around us.
A good movie I’ve seen recently is... I’m not a movie-goer. I prefer home videos. The latest one I watched was “Not Without My Daughter,” a true story starring Sally Fields. A must-see for all American women.
The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... not to go work overseas... I went anyway and spent 6 1/2 years in Europe and Southeast Asia, and it was the best time of my life.
If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... to me, famous is like beauty, it’s in the eye of the beholder; too many in my eyes to mention and meet.
The next time I travel, I’m going to... go to Mexico on a missions trip. I’m preparing by studying the Bible in Spanish through the “Estudio Biblico En Comunidad Internacional” (Bible Study with International Community) with women from different South American countries and Mexico.
My favorite childhood memory is... my whole family of nine crossing a river by horse and covered wagon to attend church – now you are wondering about my age, right?
My favorite summer pastime is... walking around the Westside and meeting people. It can be very interesting. Also, going to yard sales and having my own.
Something good I’ve read is.. I love to read and find Joyce Meyers’ books excellent and of course the number one book is my Bible in English and Spanish.
My pet peeve is... speeders.
If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off my debts, help my family, and help the needy in our community and our church. No unnecessary buying.
