Red Rock Canyon geology talk fills up the same day it's announced Paleontology researcher Sharon Milito will lead a Geology Talk and Walk Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the pavilion in Red Rock Canyon Open Space.The free event had been initially announced as open for signups, but it filled up the same day (July 23). Milito has co-authored a book on the canyon's geology. "We are presently working to find another volunteer presenter on geology in August or September," reads a press release from the Friends of Red Rock Canyon, which organized the event as part of its "talk and walk" educational series this summer.
