In memoriam: Andrew Fejedelem
Andrew Fejedelem, 60, who owned a Westside bed & breakfast with his wife Pat the past 20 years, passed away June 15 after a long period of hopitalization.
A memorial service was held July 7 at the Eagles Hall on South 21st Street, and a memorial service with full military honors will be held July 20 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
Mr. Fejedelem had served in the U.S. Army, Army Reserves and Colorado National Guard, earning the rank of E7. He retired from the military in February after serving for more than 23 years.
He also had a career as a fax and copy service technician.
He and Pat had been married 24 years. She survives him. In 1992, they started Andy & Pat's Our Hearts Inn at 2215 W. Colorado Avenue. The couple also helped start the annual Christmas-season Bed & Breakfast Holiday Tour, which benefits the Old Colorado City History Center.
Mr. Fejedelem also is survived by his mother Lorraine; brothers Edward, John, Harry and Jerry; sister Shirley; son Andrew; stepchildren Timothy and Amy and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer and father Edward, a World War II veteran.
