Meet a Westsider:
Pat Criscito

Profession/Occupation... Author of eight books for Barron’s. Freelance writer for the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe and other newspapers. National speaker on career, distance learning, and entrepreneurial subjects. CEO of ProType, Ltd. (international writing, editing, and typesetting firm). CEO of Desert Harvest (manufacturer of whole-leaf aloe vera products). Mother and grandmother.

What I like most about the Westside is... the quiet neighborhoods.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... fewer potholes!

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Secondhand Lions.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... You need an agent to sell your first book...wrong!

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Mother Theresa.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Italy and the Mediterranean.

My favorite childhood memory is... hunting and fishing with my dad, and camping every summer at Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth mountains of Idaho, where I was raised.

My favorite summer pastime is... gardening.

Something good I’ve read is.. the “Outlander” series by Diana Galbaldon.

My pet peeve is... people who have no table manners.

If I won the lottery, I’d... build a quiet retreat in the woods where I could write in utter peace.
