Philharmonic Classical quartet to play for Bear Creek Nature Center visitors July 18

The Bear Creek Nature Center will host a free Classical Strings Open House Celebration Sunday, July 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Performing will be a classical strings quartet comprised of musicians from the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. “The public is invited to celebrate another year of activity and renewal at Bear Creek and Fountain Creek Nature Centers and help us dedicate new exhibits and displays featuring golden and bald eagles, coyotes, mountain lions, junior naturalists, and tracks through time,” according to a Nature Center press release. The center is located at the mouth of the Bear Creek Canyon at 245 Bear Creek Road. No reservations are necessary. Cookies and cider will be provided. For more information, call 520-6387.
