Volunteering:
Riding Club works on Garden trail

Members of the Cavalier Trail Riding Club chose trail maintenance work in the Garden of the Gods as their June community volunteer project. Work was done on the one-hour commercial loop and centered primarily on smoothing and leveling both sets of steps on the trail.
The Cavalier Trail Riding club started in the early 1950s at Fort Carson (then Camp Carson) for military personnel and later expanded to include the civilian population of Colorado Springs and the surrounding
       area.
The club has committed to specific trail maintenance projects with the city, county and National Forest Service in an effort to support the trail systems enjoyed by equestrians.
