Meet a Westsider:
Cheryl Zaiger

Profession/Occupation... I am a loan officer at Harrison District 2 Federal Credit Union.

What I like most about the Westside is... it’s quiet and quaint. If you grew up over on the Westside, you always come back. It’s the best-kept secret in Colorado Springs.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to keep it from being modernized.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Disturbia” – you never really know your neighbors sometimes.

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... “Don’t have children.” They are a wonderful gift from God. They keep you young!

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Jimmie Johnson...I would love to go for a ride in a NASCAR at 200 miles an hour!!

The next time I travel, I’m going to... take an Alaskan cruise.

My favorite childhood memory is... living in Pleasant Valley (Being a Valley Girl!) and hanging out at the pool with all my friends from school (Coronado).

My favorite summer pastime is... growing giant pumpkins and entering them in the pumpkin contest in Old Colorado City.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff,” by Richard Carlson...because it is all small stuff! (My rule for life.)

My pet peeve is... people who lie and litterbugs.

If I won the lottery, I’d... take my whole family on a Caribbean cruise and to Disney World!! Stop working!

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
