Annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo July 12-15 at Norris-Penrose

The 77th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is slated Wednesday to Saturday, July 12-15 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road.
       Competition times each night are at 7 p.m., plus a Saturday matinee performance at 12:30 p.m. The Saturday night finale will decide the champion(s) in each event.
       The listed events are steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie-down roping, saddle-bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and women's barrel racing.
       Activities outside the stadium will start about three hours beforehand, including mutton bustin' (a sheep ride for kids), mechanical bull riding, pony rides and western-style dinner (extra cost).
       Rodeo ticket prices (with some discounts) range from $18 to $50, depending on dates and seat locations. Parking is free.
       Sponsored by the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Foundation, event proceeds go to military charities.
