Meet a Westsider:
Self-employed guitar and bass music teacher.
What I like most about the Westside is... itís close to the mountains. Itís great to look out my window and see the ridgelines so close.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... finding a way for more of us to preserve and restore these great 100-year-old homes. We all know how hard it is to do that, but this could be one of the most beautiful communities around.
A good movie Iíve seen recently is... ďValkyrie,Ē with Tom Cruise. This movie is based on the 1944 assassination attempt against Hitler.
I'd like to discover... a way to bring Old Colorado City into the future of commerce and development, while preserving what makes us want to be here in the first place.
If I could meet someone famous, Iíd like to meet... some great musical artist. Someone incredibly prolific and artistically successful, like Sting, or Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton. Iíd love to know if they had to sacrifice a normal life to be so productive. Do they bury themselves in their work, or do they pace themselves?
The next time I travel, Iím going to... either Vienna, so I can gain 20 pounds on pastries, or Costa Rica, so I can see what all my friends rave about.
My favorite childhood memory is... standing in front of the radio for hours with my guitar or bass, trying to learn each song that came on. No rewind button...it was do or die.
My favorite summer pastime is... a walk in the woods.
Something good Iíve read is.. the ďDune,Ē series by Frank Herbert.
My pet peeve is... a straight-pipe Harley blasting down Colorado Avenue at midnight.
If I didnít have to work for a year I would... study music all day long.
