History Center to open Sundays in July and Aug.

The Old Colorado City History Center, normally open Tuesday through Saturday, will add 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays in July and August.
Joanne Karlson, president of the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS), said that nationwide studies this year are showing that despite a bad economy, more people are visiting museums, so it makes sense to open the center more during the summer months.
The OCCHS, an all-volunteer organization, owns and operates the History Center. There is no admission charge, although donations are welcome.
“It's another free, interesting place to wander,” Karlson said, describing the center as “a family place to go, and the price is sure right.”
