Art Walk July 1 in Old Town
The Hunter-Wolff Gallery, 2510 W. Colorado Ave., will hold an opening reception for five artists July 1 in an exhibit titled “The Sky's the Limit” during Old Colorado City's monthly First Friday Art Walk.
The Art Walk, a free self-guided tour of a dozen Old Town galleries/studios, will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Another Art Walk opening reception will be at Arati Artists Gallery, 2425 W. Colorado Ave., featuring Arati members George Fellows (jewelry) and Larry Haught and Lorraine Watry (watercolors).
One of the Hunter-Wolff artists is Dan Nelson, a painter visiting from Raleigh, N.C. According to a press release, he will be setting up his easel on the streets of Old Colorado City a week beforehand, producing “en plein air” sketches or paintings that will become part of his exhibit.
Also showing paintings of Old Colorado City for “The Sky's the Limit” will be local artists Laura Reilly and Marlene Kort.
The two others in “Limit” are Westside raku/fiber artists Karen Pierce and Marc Jenesel, the release states.
