Different ‘Art on Mesa’ at Gold Hill Mesa June 3

       What's in a name?
Last fall, “Art on the Mesa” was a first-time competitive sculpture event at the Gold Hill Mesa residential development's community center.
Friday night, June 3, there will be another Art on the Mesa at Gold Hill's community center. Free and open to the public and scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m., it will feature live outdoor music by the Cari Dell Trio, a bounce house for kids and for-sale works from about 25 area artists, including sculptures. However, the second annual competitive sculpture event, which this year will have a different name (not yet finalized), isn't planned until September, according to Stephanie Edwards of Gold Hill Mesa.
The company and Pilates Plus, which is located in the center's fitness area, are co-sponsoring Art on the Mesa. Edwards said she hopes people won't be confused by the event-name differences and that they will participate in the Art on the Mesa June 3 as well as the sculpture event in September.
Gold Hill's community center is at 142 S. Raven Mine Drive.
