Shuttle rides are free this year

To help alleviate parking congestion during Territory Days, the Old Colorado City merchants are funding a free shuttle bus to the event from the Coronado High School parking lot starting at 9:45 a.m. daily. Coronado is located on Fillmore Street between Mesa Road and Centennial Boulevard.
The shuttle, which cost $1 a person in past years, will run every 15 minutes and continue until the end of the event each day.
Why use the shuttle when you can park on a neighborhood street near Old Colorado City and walk in? A big reason is that the Colorado Springs Police Department will be strictly enforcing parking violations at Territory Days this year. Here are common violations police will be looking for:
  • Parking within 5 feet of a driveway.
  • Parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk.
  • Parking within 30 feet of a stop sign.
  • Parking in an alley.
