El Pomar grant aids Greccio Housing

       A $30,000 grant award from the El Pomar Founda-tion will help Greccio Housing with its affordable housing programs.
       The Westside-based non-profit organization has served low-income families and individuals in the Pikes Peak region since 1990.
       Greccio currently owns or manages 17 properties (three of them on the Westside) with 351 apartment units in all.
      
       The Friends of Garden of the Gods (FOGG) set its board of directors at its annual membership meeting April 29.
       New members of the 13-member board include Marilyn Parker, publicity committee chairperson; Harry Wrede, membership chairperson; and Paul Roberts, treasurer.
       Those previously appointed to the board (who were elected to their first terms) are Jan Demmon, social chairperson; and Bob Hostetler, member at-large.
       Reelected were Joan Skoog and Donna Becker for two years and Sue Fenton for three years.
       Other board members (who were not up for reelection this year) are President John Demmon, Keith Roche, Suzanne Jarvinen, Marla VanDerwalker, and Dave Durkee.
       FOGG is a volunteer entity whose support of the Garden of the Gods includes fundraising and work at the center.
