Volunteering:
CHS, Silver Key, Holland Park

Coronado High is looking for volunteers Saturday morning, May 19 to help move items from school areas that are to be worked on as part of this summer's capital improvement projects.
The starting time is 8 a.m. The meeting place is the front doors to the school's main building. The school address is 1590 W. Fillmore St. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
Volunteers are asked to call in advance (328-3604) so the school can plan how much food to have on hand, according to Assistant Principal David Engstrom.
       His phone number is 328-3604.

Silver Key Senior Services is offering free yard work for people 60 and older.
The call stems from an “unusual situation,” according to Lindsey Stanfield of Silver Key, in which, because of a high number of volunteers, “we've run out of seniors with yard work to be done.”
Work would include raking and mowing.
For more information, call Silver Key at 884-2300 and ask to speak with Supportive Services.

At its annual cleanup day in the Douglas Creek Open Space May 5, the Holland Park Community Association filled about 30 trash bags, picked up several branches, and also removed half a leather couch, half a washing machine and three shopping carts.
