Big Band Sunday aids Care & Share

       Continuing to raise money for Care and Share, Bill Emery and the New Century Big Band will hold another “Big Band Sunday” March 18 at the Colorado Springs Shrine Club, 6 S. 33rd St.
       Starting at 3 p.m., the dance event will feature vocalists Larry D Lafferty and Kristin Warner.
       Regular admission: $10, with ages 65 and over $6. Those 18 and under are free. Those bringing a non-perishable food donation receive $2 discount off the admission price.
       According to Emery, year-to-date donations for Big Band Sundays total 274 pounds of food and $186 in cash, which translates into 8,536 individual meals.
