TOSCís Cleveland steps down

Dan Cleveland, executive director of the Trails and Open Space Coalition for the past 15 years, will retire from his post effective May 15.
The coalition is a nonprofit organization working to preserve open space and create a network of trails, bikeways and greenways in the Pikes Peak region.
Cleveland helped lead the initiative to create the sales tax for the Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOPS) program. TOPS properties on the Westside include Red Rock Canyon Open Space and White Acres, with negotiations under way for Section 16.
He has also assisted with trails/open space master plans, worked with citizen groups on projects, fundraised and served on volunteer city committees, including (currently) the Planning Commission.
Vince Cloward, the current assistant director, will be interim director.
