New store to open after rebuilding from ‘02 fire

Bill and Joan Kessler, who have been renovating the fire-damaged one-story historic building in the 2400 block of West Colorado Avenue, will be opening a log furniture store there when the building is ready, according to the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) May newsletter. The tentative business name is Aspen Country.
Also from the newsletter: K.M.J. Gifts, 2501 W. Colorado Ave., formerly downstairs, will be moving upstairs into the plaza at 2501 W. Colorado Ave. Dogwood, featuring dog and cat accessories, is now open next to Pine Needle Gifts, 2521 W. Colorado Ave. This is actually an expansion of Pine Needle Gifts, the OCCA newsletter states. Sagebrush & Tumbleweed will be opening soon on 25th street next to the Holly Leaf. Bernideen's will be moving into a now-vacant location at 2520 W. Colorado Ave. later this summer.
       Other new businesses:
