Petco store invites participants for hamster race May 20

       The local Petco store, 1820A West Uintah St., will be part of a national event by the 49-state pet store chain in running a “Hamster Ball Derby” Saturday, May 20 from 2 to 3 p.m.
       Participants are encouraged to bring their pet's own hamster ball. Registration is free. Prizes will go to the winners.
       Goodwill Staffing Services has recently upgraded its website, www.GoodwillStaffing.com. The enhancements makes it easier for job-seekers to match up with positions being offered by Goodwill, a non-profit agency which is one of the largest employers on the Westside.
      
       Dawn's Creations, 2616 W. Colorado Ave., recently opened in Old Colorado City. The store, owned by Dawn Maidment, offers silk flower arrangements, exotic plants, gifts and wedding packages. Open daily, the phone number is 475-1832.
