Meet a Westsider:
Pat Dinsmore

Profession/Occupation... Realtor with Keller Williams Partners. I’m also a mobile notary.

What I like most about the Westside is... the people, no airs or pretenses, just good people. And the mixture of homes. What can I say, I like houses.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... I would change the streets to one-way. They are so narrow; it would really help traffic.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... I get Netflix, so I watch an eclectic mix. I enjoyed “Contact,” “Karol: A Man Who Became Pope,” loved “Wild China” and thought “The Ultimate Gift” very uplifting and good for our spoiled youth of today.

I'd like to discover... a cure for racism. People are like diamonds; you just need to flip them over to find another facet of them you might like better.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... I’d like to have met Bob Ross. He’s gone now, but his enthusiasm for oil painting was contagious. He’s what got me started. I can’t paint a tree without thinking “Happy Trees”!

The next time I travel, I’m going to... see the giant redwoods in California.

My favorite childhood memory is... traveling with my mother. She took my brothers and me everywhere. Yellowstone, Badlands, New York City, Miami. My Dad went hunting and fishing and we went sight-seeing!

My favorite summer pastime is... gardening. I’d be outside all day if I could. My flowers have been outstanding – has to be the Westside!

Something good I’ve read is... National Geographic. For $19 a year, you get a trip around the world. Fabulous photos, great stories, and the schools love them when I’m done.

My pet peeve is... people that don’t pick up after their dogs. It may look like their dog’s bathroom to their owners, but it’s my yard!

If I didn’t have to work for a year, I would... travel and maybe get a dent in all those “Someday Isles” I have stacked up – painting, crafting, sewing, mosaic, more time with the grandkids although I get them once a month for First Saturday at the MAT.
