Wick takes over as OCCA president

       Don Wick, who had been treasurer, was named president of the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) commercial group in a special board election last week.
       He will complete the remainder of Charles Irwin's term, which ends in December.
       “We have accepted Charlie's offer to step down as president, citing 'personal reasons,' and wish him speedy resolution of same,” Wick said.
       He plans no major changes in events planned by the private entity. “It's my intent to carry on the momentum that's been building,” he said. Irwin had been president since January 2009.
       The OCCA is a private group of business people. that seeks to attract business to the Westside and Old Colorado City.
