Mill Hill 25th anniversary party April 18

       Bloom's Mill Hill Saloon, 1668 S. 21st St., will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a “thanks to the Westside” party starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18.
       Country Crossroads will be the featured band, although musicians from other bands that play at Mill Hill are also expected to attend and to join in a jam session.
       The bar was started in 1984 by the late Jim Bloom Sr., whose son Jim now owns it.
      
       Twelve-year-old “BBQ prodigy” William Brant will demonstrate his skills outside Barbeque Mercantile, at 2619 W. Colorado Ave., Saturday, April 18. The show will continue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
      
       The grand opening of Nirvana: the Art of Healing, will be Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m.
       Half massage studio and half pottery gallery, the new, privately opened business is at 2616 W. Colorado Ave., Suite 16.
       The owners are Ed Reyes, a licensed massage therapist, certified neuromuscular therapist and reiki master who has studied Native American healing traditions; and Mary Burton, a potter who's always wanted to own a gallery.
       The business is open Mondays through Saturdays. The phone is 633-5558.
