Citizens’ meeting at PD’s Falcon Substation
Residents in northern parts of the Westside are invited to attend a “Citizens Action Team” (CAT) meeting at the Colorado Springs Police Falcon Substation, 7850
Goddard St. (near Kelly Johnson and Highway 83), Thursday, April 17, starting at 7 p.m.
The public meeting will be similar in format to a meeting at the Gold Hill substation in January, when representatives from nine city departments or divisions (plus Utilities and Mountain Metro Transit) sat at a table and answered random questions from the public.
Although open to anyone, those especially encouraged to attend are people who live within the Falcon Substation's service area. For Westsiders, that's anywhere north of Fontanero or Fillmore streets (including the Mesa Springs and Holland Park neighborhoods), although the substation's area as a whole goes east to Union Boulevard and north to North Academy Boulevard.
“It's an opportunity to interact with high-level leaders of the city,” said Dave Husted, the community police officer who is organizing the meeting.
For more information, call Husted at 444-7246.
