Public can help PPACG learn how to help public

A 45-day public comment period will continue until May 27 on a proposed Public Participation Plan - the first step in the development of the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan (Moving Forward Update) and 2010-2015 Transporta-tion Improvement Program (TIP).
The endeavor is being handled through the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG), the regional planning agency.
The comment period was triggered by PPACG board approval at its meeting April 8. The board consists of elected officials representing different local governments in the area.
The plan looks for the most effective ways to involve the public in putting together the Moving Forward Update and 2010-2015 TIP.
Those wanting to view the plan and comment on it can go to the PPACG website at ppacg.org. Copies are also available at PPACG offices, 15 S. Seventh St.
