Input opportunity for West Center planning
The public will have a chance to offer ideas for West Intergenerational Center programs at a planning meeting Friday, April 4.
The informal session is to start at 5:30 p.m. at the center, 25 N. 20th St.
Such meetings are scheduled periodically “to give the community a chance” to come forward with ideas, explained center director E.D. Rucker. Sometimes nobody comes, and the meeting has to be cancelled.
“But you don't ever know,” he said. “There may be somebody out there with a unique idea we've never tried.”
Funded through Colorado Springs Parks and School District 11 and located next to West Middle School, the West Center offers or coordinates various programs, classes and activities for different (and sometimes) combined ages.
