Don't feed the crows.
That's not the best-known mandate, but it is important this spring, with unusually large numbers of the big black birds showing up in the area, according to Westside resident Beverly Michaels of the Wild Forever Foundation.
Some people, it appears, have been putting out dry dog food for the crows in Thorndale Park, which has attracted them there. She said she has even seen the crows attacking pigeons and sparrows.
The crow situation “probably wouldn't be so intense if they weren't being fed,” Michaels said.
The foundation number is 475-9453.
