Goodwill accepting scrap metal

If you have any scrap metal, recyclers with Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs will be glad to take it off your hands.
Items such as old appliances, car parts and bicycles have always been accepted at no charge, but this has not been “actively mentioned” previously in recyling publicity, explained Laura Marth, Goodwill spokesperson.
Goodwill has attended donation centers at the Westside warehouse dock (in the 2300 block alley behind Colorado Avenue) and at the trailer outside the Wal-Mart on South Eighth Street.
Also accepted by Goodwill are clothes and computer equipment in any condition. “Proceeds from donated computers support Goodwill's mission of helping people become independent,” Marth said.
