Bear Creek Dog Park cleanup April 4; volunteers welcome

       Volunteers are welcome to help clean up the Bear Creek Dog Park in the annual April Stools Day Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Buckets, bags and rubber gloves will be provided for the cleanup, but participants are asked to bring their own shovels or scoopers.
       The event is coordinated by the Friends of Bear Creek Dog Park, in conjunction with El Paso County Parks.
       The 20-acre open area is west of 21st Street at the T-intersection with Rio Grande Street. For more information or to volunteer in advance, call Ron Buchanan of the Friends group at 520-5098 or e-mail friendsofbcdpcs@gmail.com.
