The annual Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) Easter Egg Hunt will offer “a little bit more” this year, according to OCCA
President Nancy Stovall.
The date/time will be Saturday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m. in Bancroft Park. Especially intended for the business district's surrounding neighborhoods, the event will offer the traditional egg hunt as well as a balloon twister, face painter and (snack popularity dependent on the weather) ice cream and hot chocolate from local businesses. Small children can ride on a small carousel for $1 each. And, of course, the Easter Bunny will be on hand, Stovall said. Starting time is 12:30 p.m. “It should be fun,” she said. “We hope for good weather.” The “eggs” will be made of plastic, containing candy, little toys and/or slips of paper listing prizes available in the pavilion that day or at different merchants' places of business. Ages 8 and under (including babies) are welcome to attend with their parents and families. The meeting place will be the pavilion in the center ot the park. Westside Pioneer article |
