Docents sought to help at Rock Ledge Ranch

Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is looking for people who would like to become docents. An orientation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24 in the Carriage House Education Center at the ranch.
Dressed in ranch-provided 19th-century attire, docents volunteer a half day a week throughout June, July and August when the ranch is open regularly to the public.
The orientation will explain training requirements and volunteer opportunities. Training will occur in May.
Rock Ledge Ranch, preserved much as it was in the 1880s, is at 30th Street and Gateway Road, across from the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. The docent program is coordinated by the ranch's volunteer Living History Association and by City Parks, which owns and manages the 230-acre property.
