‘Forts’ talk at History Center
A free program titled “Historic Forts of the U.S. Southwest” will be presented at the Old Colorado City History Center Friday, March 9 at 11 a.m.
The speaker will be Phil McDonald, a board member of the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS), a volunteer organization that owns and operates the History Center, 1 S. 24th St. He will provide information from his research into “five historic forts and the people associated with them,” a press release states. Also coming up at the center will be the “Jake's Saloon” event Saturday, March 3 from 4 to 6 p.m., for which there is a $10 admission charge.
