All together now

Bob Hall of the Denver-based Kusogea Nobi drum group teaches the basics of African-style drumming Feb. 10 in the Old Colorado City Libraryís community room. He had brought along several drums and percussive instruments and lent some to audience members interested in hands-on learning. Hallís appearance was part of Black History Month activities at the library. Later that day, historian Estelle Koonce spoke on the Civil War-era Underground Railroad that helped black slaves find freedom in the northern states.
