Bead shop: New name, familiar face

       The former Beazu Beads at 2421 W. Colorado Ave. has been renamed and has a new owner.
       The new name is White Rabbit Beads. Owner Taryn Sweeney, who formerly worked for Beazu, has more than 20 years beading experience, including 8 at this location.
       The business sells a wide variety of beads,” including new vintage components and related merchandise. She also offers classes, a repair service and custom work.

       Opening for artist March 4
       Cucuru Gallery Café, 2332 W. Colorado Ave., will host an opening for painter Warren Arcila Friday, March 4 from 5 to 7 p.m.

       New artists featured
       Arati Artists Gallery will feature its newest members, glass artists Diana Zombola and Jana Bordelon, in a reception titled “Rhapsody in Glass” Sunday, March 6 from noon to 4 p.m.

       GoG Club spa recognized
       The Spa & Salon at the Garden of the Gods Club, 3320 Mesa Road, was recently recognized by spAWARDS.com as one of America's Top 100 Spas of 2011.
       According to a press release, the club's spa provides “a variety of professional services that encourage the renewal of mind, body and spirit,” including “therapeutic approaches to bodywork, custom skin care solutions, soothing body treatments, hair care services and manicures and pedicures.”
