Meet a Westsider:
Michele Billie

Profession/Occupation... Customer Service Representative at The Bank at Broadmoor-Westside.

What I like most about the Westside is... everything I need is right here.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... I would change the way the Westside is being developed. It is one thing to improve an area by refurbishing buildings or building on lots that have become an eyesore to the community. However, when in the name of progress and expansion people are in danger of losing their businesses or homes, as in the Highway 24 expansion, it is truly “highway robbery.”

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... While trying to learn to waterski, my brother, who was also driving the boat, said I should start out sitting on the dock; it would be an easier position to get started. So there I was, sitting on the dock eargerly awaiting the chance to glide gracefully across the water. Jimmy pushed down the throttle and as the boat lurched forward, I was instantly jerked off the dock, my bottom scrapping along the splintery deck. I never got a chance to stand before slamming head first into the water. I didn’t waterski again for about 15 years. Yes, I did get up, but that is a different story.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... ordinary people who do extraordinary things.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Philadelphia, PA, to visit my family and get a Pat’s cheese steak!!

My favorite childhood memory is... Christmas morning. Opening gifts with my 11 brothers and sisters.

My favorite winter pastime is... I just learned to ski... I love it.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Next,” by Michael Crichton... it could happen!

My pet peeve is... rude people.

If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off debt. Help out family. Travel and help others in need.
