Hwy 24 billboards could be affected by county review; meeting is Jan. 28
Billboards along Highway 24 through the Westside could be affected by the results of an informal El Paso County “stakeholder input meeting” Wednesday, Jan. 28 at
4:30 p.m. in the upstairs hearing room of the Regional Development Center at 2880 International Circle.
The public is invited to “voice their opinions and concerns as El Paso County Development staff formulates its recommendations for possible changes to billboard regulations,” a county press release states.
A key issue of concern is electronic billboards that produce bright light and are capable of rapidly changing message displays, according to Raimere Fitzpatrick of El Paso County Development Services.
