One slick cowboy

While attendees at the Old Colorado City Associates’ third annual Ice on the Avenue look on Jan. 15, ice sculptor William Sandusky creates a cowboy shape in Bancroft Park. The work included an intentional round gap where the face would be, so that a kid could stand behind it for a photo and “be” the cowboy. In all, Sandusky’s weekend work involved 58 blocks of ice. Organizer Gina Kaiser said the two-day event drew good crowds and resulted in increased sales for businesses. See STORY, PHOTOS.
