Meet a Westsider:
I’m a stay-at-home mom.
What I like most about the Westside is... the people, they’re real, they are who they are, they’ re content being who they are, and they don’t try to keep up with the neighbors.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to reroute some of the traffice off 31st/Fontanero/Fillmore streets and to build a sound wall to lessen the sound coming from Highway 24.
A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Down with Love,” a comedy set in the 60’s. It was fun to watch the outrageous clothes and I enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters.
The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... people tell us we need a dog, but, we’re cat people.
If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... I do a lot of genealogy and family research so...I’d like to meet my great-grandfather, or someone from my past who could answer a lot of questions.
The next time I travel, I’m going to... I don’t know about the next time, but I’d love to go to the Bahamas, I’d love to see it. Growing up in Louisiana, we’d go to Pensacola, Florida, every spring. I miss doing that, so I’d love to head back to the beach again.
My favorite childhood memory is... theres’ a lot of great ones but it’s probably going camping with my family near the Smoky Mountains.
My favorite winter pastime is... sledding with the kids.
Something good I’ve read is.. The “Harry Potter” series. My whole family loves it, including my parents and in-laws.
My pet peeve is... people who are negative.
If I won the lottery, I’d... well, some things would be different and some the same, but I’d buy a bigger house for the family.
