I work at Tangles Beauty Salon as a special occasion hair designer and an all around cosmetologist.
What do you do there and/or what are you responsible for?
I am a cosmetologist and I rent a booth. so I’m responsible for buying my own products and paying my rent.
How long have you been doing this kind of work (total)? How long on the Westside?
Approximately 20 years, and a little over a year on the Westside.
What do you like best about it (other than quitting time)?
I like the art of it. You can really have fun with special occasion styles and also with colors.
If you could change one thing (other than pay), what would it be?
I would like to work with more brides. That’s where you really show your artistic ability.
What part of your work did your training/education never prepare you for?
All of the different types of people you’ll work on. Some of them can really intimidate you. But now, I love it.
What makes working on the Westside special?
The people are so nice. I work with a great team of cosmetologists at Tangles.
