Open house for Hwy 24 ‘Greenway’ plan Jan. 18

As part of the US 24 West planning process, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will host a public open house and workshop for the Midland Greenway Master Plan Thursday, Jan. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the CPCD/Head Start Office, 2330 Robinson St.
“Through the planning process for US 24, it became obvious that there is an opportunity to do something special along Fountain Creek and the Midland Trail,” said Bob Mora, US 24 West project manager for CDOT, in a press release. “For now we're referring to it as the Midland Greenway, but the name could change if the committee working on the project adopts something else as the official name. This public meeting will be to help set the vision for the project.”
The committee working on the master plan includes representatives from various affected government entities, business groups and neighborhood organizations.
A final plan is expected in June, Mora said.
